Garrett Kidd continues dad’s legacy at Northwestern

The Northwestern Wildcats got a bit of a lift at wide receiver on Sunday as a alumnus of the school’s son joined the program as a transfer. Garrett Kidd, son former Northwestern four-year letterman John Kidd, got to campus Sunday as he transferred from Miami.

According to College Football Talk, Northwestern released a statement claiming that Kidd had joined the 2015 roster and will be eligible to play this season. He is able to play immediately because he is coming to Evanston as graduate transfer from Coral Gables.

Kidd took a redshirt his freshman year with the Hurricanes and was a big part of their special teams during his three seasons.
