The successful weekend continues for Northwestern. Less than 24 hours after Saturday’s convincing 49-7 win over Bowling Green, the Wildcats landed its first commit of the 2019 recruiting class. Linebacker Bryce Gallagher, the younger brother of freshman Blake Gallagher, committed to Northwestern on Sunday.
Gallagher’s commitment kickstarts the 2019 class, which is underway extremely early. Quarterback Jason Whittaker was Northwestern’s first class of 2018 commit and he made his pledge on Dec. 10. Bryce’s brother Blake became the first commit of the 2017 class on Dec. 14. The Wildcats become the eighth Big Ten school to have a class of 2019 commit and its a terrific start for Pat Fitzgerald and his staff.
