Another week, another primetime opportunity for Trevor Siemian and the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football. The former Northwestern Wildcats quarterback will face a very good Kansas City defense at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas evening.
Siemian tore apart the Chiefs vaunted defense four weeks ago to the tune of 368 yards and three touchdowns. His efforts weren’t enough, however, as the Broncos fell 30-27 in overtime. Four weeks and three losses later, and Denver is fighting to keep its playoff hopes alive. A loss tonight eliminates the Broncos.
Siemian has played well despite a nonexistant run-game and a suspect offensive-line (Trevor still gifted them), but he will need to step up even bigger to end Denver’s two-game losing skid and keep his team in postseason contention.
