Northwestern men’s basketball forward Miller Kopp has entered the transfer portal, according to VerbalCommits on Twitter.
Kopp came to Evanston as a part of the storied 2017 recruiting class, which featured the likes of Pete Nance and Ryan Young, as well as Ryan Greer. The Houston, Texas, native finished this season as the Wildcats’ second-leading scorer, averaging 11.3 points per game behind only Chase Audige. He also averaged three rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Primarily a shooter, he posted an impressive 13.1 points per game in his sophomore season.
Kopp is the first player on Northwestern’s current roster to enter the transfer portal this offseason, and isn’t necessarily a name many expected to leave Evanston.
