Northwestern cornerbacks Roderick Campbell and Brian Bullock will miss the remainder of the 2017 season after undergoing season-ending surgery, a team spokesman told InsideNU.
Campbell, a talented sophomore, was one of three true freshmen that saw the field last season as he helped fill the void created by Keith Watkins’ injury. With Watkins out for a second consecutive season, Campbell won’t be able to replace him once again. He had shoulder surgery which will sideline him the entire season. The injury was not suffered during training camp but rather a nagging issue that the cornerback elected to address this season.
