The Chicago Bears announced today that they had signed Tommy Doles after waiving the former Northwestern guard earlier this week. The team had signed Doles earlier in the preseason as a UDFA, but it took an injury to Jomon Dotson to allow his return.
Doles was originally signed on March 5th but was released on March 13th to make room for Jesper Horsted. The Bears currently have six rookie offensive linemen on their roster, in addition to ten others.
The Grand Rapids native was a three-year starter in Evanston and left a meaningful legacy.
