Saturday was a great day for the Northwestern Wildcats. A field goal by kicker Jack Mitchell with 9 seconds to go secured a 23-21 Northwestern win over the Penn State Nittany Lions.
The final 23-21 score accurately reflects the tensions and ongoing battle throughout the game. Mitchell missed two field goals and a PAT – nearly blowing a 20-7 lead.
