Nine days after Terah Edwards became Northwestern’s first lineman to commit in the class of 2020, the Wildcats snagged a commitment from three-star offensive tackle Ben Wrather. The Powell, Ohio native stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 285 pounds. So yeah, he makes the 2020 class a lot bigger.
Wrather picked up a Northwestern offer a couple weeks ago after a visit to Evanston. His recruitment has intensified rapidly; in the last month he’s been offered by Louisville, Penn State, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia and Vanderbilt. Per his Twitter account, Wrather boasts a 3.98 GPA and a score of 33 on the ACT.
