Almost half of the Big 12 wrestling champions are from the state of Iowa.
Iowa State and Northern Iowa combined for four title-winners at the 2020 Big 12 Championships on Sunday. Those efforts led the Cyclones and Panthers both to top-three finishes inside the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, over the weekend.
For the second-straight year, Iowa State finished second, scoring 116.5 points to finish behind only Oklahoma State’s 147.5. Two Cyclone wrestlers won their respective weights: Ian Parker (141) and David Carr (157).
