The Iowa State and Northern Iowa wrestling teams had drastically different paths to the top of the Big 12 tournament team race on Saturday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Cyclones and Panthers sit second and third, respectively, trailing only Oklahoma State after Day One of the league's championship inside the BOK Center. Iowa State stormed to an early lead, then saw Oklahoma State zoom by. Northern Iowa tripped in the beginning then powered its way back to within striking distance entering Sunday.
