What we learned from UNI's 77-66 loss to Indiana State

CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — Despite its consistent string of poor road performances throughout Missouri Valley Conference play, Northern Iowa has shown up of late inside the McLeod Center.

Saturday, though, UNI brought its problems home.

Another poor second half, highlighted by Indiana State’s late downtown barrage, stuck the Panthers with another unsightly loss, 77-66, UNI (11-13, 3-9 MVC) entered having won three straight inside the McLeod Center, but Saturday’s outing only furthered the Panthers’ free fall down the Valley ladder.

Indiana State shot 63 percent in the second half and took control over the final 13 minutes, knocking down a bevy of threes that put UNI in an insurmountable hole.
