With a little under three seconds remaining, Northern Iowa senior Paul Jesperson hit a half-court buzzer-beating shot to lift the No. 11 seeded Panthers to a 75-72 victory to upset No. 6 seed Texas late Friday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Oklahoma City.
UNI will face third-seeded Texas A&M on Sunday in the second round.
