Northern Iowa libero Abbi Staack has been named the Missouri Valley Conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
Staack recorded 23 digs in UNI's first Missouri Valley match of the season Friday against Evansville. The senior from Janesville added 30 digs Saturday night against Indiana State.
The conference's weekly defensive honor is the second of the season for Staack.
