ST. LOUIS — There wasn’t a big heart-to-heart or a film study full of lambasting. After the two regular-season showdowns, Isaiah Brown simply knew things needed to improve.
The Northern Iowa sophomore had been on the wrong end of two Ryan Taylor torchings, the Evansville guard and MVC’s leading scorer having poured in 25 points in the Jan. 31 matchup before dropping 26 in Cedar Falls two weeks later. Round three arrived Thursday with the Panthers’ season on the line.
“After playing them twice, Isaiah knew he had to do a better job,” UNI coach Ben Jacobson said.
