INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA allocated the Big 12 wrestling conference with the second most automatic qualifiers for the national championships.
A total of 58 wrestlers will advance after the conference tournament set for March 5-6 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the BOK Center. The allocations go as deep as eighth place in the 174-pound weight class. At 149 pounds, 165 pounds and 184 pounds, just four from the Big 12 will automatically qualify.
Nine UNI wrestlers received either a top-33 rank or RPI or both in the latest polls. Lance Runyon cracked the rankings for the first time with a top-20 spot.
