CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Megan Maahs notched her second double-double of the season and UNI women's basketball used a big third quarter to overcome a slow start to earn a 65-55 win over former Missouri Valley Conference foe Creighton Tuesday evening at the McLeod Center.
The Panthers trailed 23-20 at the half but outscored the Blue Jays 22-10 in the third and 45-32 in the second half to earn the 10-point win.
Maahs scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half and grabbed a game-high 11 boards. Ellie Howell also put together a strong performance with 15 points on 6-11 shooting.
