SCHERERVILLE, Ind. --- UNI women's golf sits in a three-way tie for 5th place after the first round of play at the Briar Ridge Invitational, hosted by UIC.
The Panthers finished the first day of competition tied with Purdue-Fort Wayne and Cleveland State with a team score of 317. Defending tournament champion Morehead State leads by 17 stroke after carding a 300 on the first 18 holes of the 10-team event.
Junior Anna Jensen led the Panther women by carding a team-best 75 (+3) on Sunday with a pair of birdies on the front nine to finish the day tied for 8th place.
