TROPHY CLUB, Texas - The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team is in sole possession of first place following day one of the ORU/SFA Spring Break Invitational.

The Panthers shot a round one score of 314, placing them ahead everyone, including Oral Roberts, University of Texas at Arlington, Florida Atlantic University, Bowling Green State, Stephen F. Austin and Creighton.

Senior Maddie Bertsch remains on fire as her 3-over (75) performance leaves her in first place overall after round one.

Tied for 5th place overall is Paige Van Dyk, who shot 6-over (78) on the day.
