CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — Several recruiting classes loaded with in-state talent have come together in Cedar Falls. There’s really no need for introductions. This collegiate roster full of Iowans features plenty of prep overlap.
Recruiting Iowans been a priority for a while inside Tanya Warren’s Northern Iowa women’s basketball program. Now in her 14th season since taking over for Tony DiCecco in 2007, Warren has 13 Iowans on this year’s roster — all of whom are ready to pounce on a season full of optimism.
“We will always recruit our state first and then around it,” Warren said at Thursday’s virtual media day.
