MOLINE, Ill. — Although the offenses never really warmed up, Friday's MVC Tournament quarterfinal between Northern Iowa and Bradley didn't lack suspense or drama.
The Panthers fell on the wrong side of a seesawing affair.
With one final fourth-quarter push, No. 5 seed Bradley upended fourth-seeded seed UNI, 62-59, at TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Illinois. The Panthers' season comes to an abrupt halt, while the Braves march onto the semifinals against top-seeded Missouri State.
UNI's regular-season matchups against Bradley were decided in the final period, so it was no shock to see the same unfold in postseason play.
