TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The UNI women's basketball team shot 27-50 (54 percent) from the field and three players scored in double figures en route to a 71-51 road win over Indiana State Sunday afternoon.
The game was tied 6-6 in the first quarter when UNI went on an 11-2 run to take a 17-8 lead with 52 seconds remaining in the first quarter. The Panthers extended the lead to 25-12 with 6:14 left in the second, ISU cut the lead to 32-21 at the half.
The Panthers started the second half with a 9-3 run to extend the lead to 41-23 before the Sycamores responded and cut the advantage to 42-34 with 2:56 remaining.
