DES MOINES, Iowa — Just two weeks out from the historic running of the Drake Relays, UNI athletes got an early trip to Drake Stadium on Friday afternoon as the Panther competed in the Jim Duncan Invitational.
In a highly active weekend for UNI track and field athletes across the country, 5 Panthers picked up first place finishes after a competitive day at the historic Blue Oval.
Brendan Safley secured his first victory of the 2023 outdoor season in the men's pole vault, clearing 5.06 meters. The UNI women also found success in the field events with Rylie Todd claiming gold with a high jump with a leap of 1.
