IOWA CITY – Maddie McCalla set a meet record and put up the fifth-best time in UNI history to win the 400m dash and highlight a strong Panther performance at the Hawkeye Invitational that included nine top-three finishes and five event wins.
McCalla won the 400m dash with a run of 55.57 which topped the meet record of 56.13. Her time is the best mark in the Missouri Valley Conference this season.
Evan Long also won the 400m with a time of 48.10 which moves him into the top-10 all-time for the Panthers.
