PULLMAN, Washington – The UNI Panther volleyball team swept the Gonzaga Bulldogs, 3-0, Thursday at Bohler Gym in the opening match of the Cougar Challenge hosted by Washington State. UNI won by set scores of 25-12, 25-21, and 25-16.
The Panthers posted a team attack percentage of .444 which is the best clip in a single match since August 25, 2012 when UNI hit .471 in a sweep of George Washington. The Bulldogs were held to a .177 hitting percentage. UNI tallied 10 aces compared to two service winners allowed. The Panthers also had a 19-to-17 advantage in digs and a five-to-two edge for blocks.
