SPRINGFIELD, Missouri-- The University of Northern Iowa women's swimming team made a splash in the pool today at the Missouri State Invitational. The Panthers placed in 12 of 16 events.
Freshman Katie Taylor made her impact in the pool, swimming into the top 8 of 4 events. Taylor swam four minutes, thirty-two seconds and 73 hundredths of a second in the 400 IM for a fifth place finish. Taylor's second fifth place finish was in the 200 IM, with a time of 2:08.64. One more fifth place finish was in store for Taylor in the 100 backstroke, swimming a 57.
