CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- It was an exciting Saturday as UNI softball won their first home doubleheader against the Loyola Ramblers 4-1 and 8-2.
The Panthers hit three home runs and threw 24 strikeouts in two wins over the Ramblers on Saturday afternoon. UNI continued their strong offensive play from Wednesday's game against Iowa State to take over both games against Loyola. Redshirt sophomore pitcher Samantha Heyer had a career day in the circle, throwing 11 strikeouts in relief in the second game of the day.
