CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — Daurice Fountain’s Pro Day got off to a riveting start Sunday afternoon.
With more than 20 NFL teams in attendance, the Northern Iowa wide receiver ripped off a vertical of 42.5 inches. Although Fountain didn’t receive an NFL Scouting Combine invite, that would’ve been the best among wide receivers at the combine. LSU’s D.J. Chark led the way there with a 40-inch vertical.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound wide receiver also went 11 inches on the vertical jump, which would've tied Maryland's D.J. Moore as the best among receivers at the Combine. Fountain had 14 reps on the bench press and ran the 40-yard dash three times as well.
