CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI men's basketball led from the opening tip to the final horn on Wednesday night as the Panthers picked up a convincing 92-65 win over the Valparaiso Beacons at the McLeod Center.
The Panthers improve to 6-7 on the season and 2-1 in Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) play, while the Beacons fall to 8-7 and 1-2 in the league. UNI's 27-point margin of victory against Valparaiso is tied for the 6th largest in program history against an MVC opponent.
Jumping out to an early 8-0 run in the first two minutes of play, the UNI offense clicked with a season-high 59% field goal percentage from the floor.
