CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- Ten Panthers recorded points in the scorebook on Wednesday night as UNI picked up an 84-52 exhibition victory over the Dubuque Spartans at the McLeod Center.
UNI fell behind early but quickly surged past the Spartans by outscoring Dubuque 7-0 on second chance points and from three-point range. made 4-of-5 shot attempts from the field in the first half along with three free throws for 12 points in the opening stanza as the Panthers took a 41-27 lead into the halftime break.
The Panthers' hot shooting continued into the second half with UNI shooting 47% from the floor and holding the Dubuque offense to just 8 made field goals in the period.
