CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI men's basketball wasn't able to overcome a slow start to Vermont and dropped its second game of the season, 71-57.
UNI slips to 0-2 overall. It was Vermont's season opener after winning two exhibitions.
"Vermont is highly skilled at all five positions," said head coach Ben Jacobson. "Give them a lot of credit for how they play."
Vermont holds the second longest active streak in Division I for five straight regular-season conference titles. The Catamounts are in the America East.
AJ Green led UNI's offense with 19 points.
