CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Richmond's offense found its stride in the second half as UNI men's basketball fell to the Spiders on Sunday afternoon at the McLeod Center, 60-52.
UNI is now 2-5 overall and 0-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play. Richmond improves to 5-4 on the season. The Panthers are also 13-13 all-time against Atlantic-10 Conference opponents.
Trae Berhow and AJ Green opened up the afternoon with back-to-back three-point baskets on UNI's first two possessions. The Panther defense held Richmond to a season-low 28 first half points, but the Spiders would close out the opening stanza on a 6-0 run, taking a narrow 28-27 lead into halftime.
