CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa football program earned Top 5 rankings in both the STATS and FCS Coaches Preseason polls, it was announced today.
In the STATS and FCS Coaches Preseason Top 25, the Panthers landed at No. 5 in both. Since 1985, UNI has been the only MVFC team ranked in a pre-season or regular-season poll every year.
UNI hosted its annual media day on Friday, Aug. 5, getting the excitement around the program elevated to another level. UNI returns eight offensive and four defensive starters to the field this season, giving Panther fans a veteran group of student-athletes to keep an eye on.
