INDIANAPOLIS --- Former UNI offensive lineman Matthew Vanderslice has been signed by the Indianapolis Colts, as announced during the Colts' roster transactions on Monday afternoon.
The signing comes after Vanderslice participated in the Colts' rookie minicamp over the weekend as an undrafted free agent. Indianapolis also signed a pair of undrafted free agent wide receivers in Tyler Adams (Butler) and Kody Case (Illinois) on Monday, as well as defensive tackle Jamal Woods (Illinois).
A native of Olathe, Kansas, Vanderslice appeared in 41 games for the Panthers over the past six seasons. Playing a key role as a leader blocker up front, the 2022 UNI offense led the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) in passing yards, total offense, passing efficiency and third down conversion percentage, while posting the nation's 16th-best offense with 444.
