ST. LOUIS --- UNI quarterback Theo Day has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference's (MVFC) Co-Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The honor is the first conference award of Day's career.
The selection comes following an impressive performance in UNI's season finale at South Dakota on Saturday, where the redshirt junior accounted for a career-best 6 touchdowns (5 passing and one rushing) in the Panthers' 58-14 win over the Coyotes. Day also recorded a career-high 380 passing yards in the 44-point victory, connected with 5 different receivers on all 5 of his career-high tying touchdown passes.
