CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — With a ride down Interstate Highway 380 on tap, Mark Farley knows the excitement and fanfare will inevitably emerge. Players likely have had this game circled; families too.
It’s a natural occurrence when a FCS team runs up against a Power Five foe, as Northern Iowa will do Saturday night under the Kinnick Stadium lights. But if the Panthers have any shot at pulling off a Hawkeye stunner — and this year, it’d be a stunner — Farley knows all that extracurricular stuff must vanish come kickoff.
