AMES, Iowa – UNI and Iowa State both picked up upset wins, but the Cyclones came from behind to earn an 18-16 win over the Panthers Sunday afternoon at Hilton Coliseum.
The dual started with an exciting first-period pin for Jay Schwarm over No. 8 Alex Mackell. In their last meeting, Mackall earned a technical fall over Schwarm, but this time, the Panther wrestler turned the tables. He picked up an early takedown before Mackall earned a reversal. Schwarm returned the reversal and finished off the bout with a pin just 2:17 into the bout.
