WATERLOO, Iowa – The UNI tennis team fell, 4-3, in a close rematch against Omaha on Sunday at the Black Hawk Tennis Club in Waterloo.
The Panthers were swept in doubles action, but made a comeback in singles play. Sophomore Emma Carr and senior Valentina Caro put the Purple and Gold on the board with two-set victories. Carr downed Ines Absisan, 6-4, 6-4, on the No. 1 court while Caro defeated Lily Tiemeyer, 6-4, 6-3, on the No. 4 court.
Sophomore Thaissa Moreira went into a three-set thriller against Colby Kelley, taking the first set, 6-4, before dropping the second, 4-6.
