CEDAR FALLS – A fourth-quarter comeback fell just short and UNI women's basketball fell to No. 25 Missouri State 64-60 Saturday evening at the McLeod Center.
With 5:35 left in the MVC series against Missouri State, the Panthers trailed 56-41 before Megan Maahs hit a pair of free throws to kickstart the offense. Kam Finley, Bre Gunnels, and Karli Rucker all scored in an 11-0 run to cut the MSU lead to 56-52
The Panthers cut the lead to 55-58 on a Rucker three-pointer with 1:50 to play, but that is as close as they would come and Missouri State held on for the four-point win.
