CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — When one league foe bullies another inside the often-cramped Missouri Valley Conference, the rematch usually goes a different direction. Adjustments are made — memories are reset — and tighter action tends to unfold over 40 minutes.
Northern Iowa missed that message.
Less than three weeks after drubbing Missouri State in its own building, UNI hardly returned the hospitality on the Bears’ trek to Cedar Falls. The Panthers’ first-half surge buried Missouri State once again, resulting in UNI’s second Valley sweep of the month, 95-66, Wednesday at McLeod Center.
