UNI basketball: Juwan McCloud looking for 'change of scenery,' is leaving program

CEDAR FALLS, Ia. — Juwan McCloud is looking to move home.

The sophomore guard has asked for his release from Northern Iowa, a Panthers spokesperson confirmed Wednesday. McCloud, a Germantown, Wisconsin native, hopes to rekindle his college career closer to his home area.

“My main goal is to head home, try to play to a school closer to home,” McCloud told the Register on Wednesday. “That’s really the top priority right now. Just listening and seeing who all would be interested in having me come to their school and what their program entails.”

McCloud had an up-an-down tenure at UNI.
