CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI quarterback Theo Day has been named College Football Performance's (CFPA) FCS National Performer of the Week, as announced on Sunday. Day's selection marks the second time the Panther passer has received the honor this year, after previously being selected for the award on Oct. 30.
Other nominees at the FCS level this week included Cole Doyle (QB, Saint Francis), Parker McKinney (QB, Eastern Kentucky), Geno Hess (QB, Southeast Missouri State), Lindsey Scott Jr. (QB, Incarnate Word) and Cam Miller (QB, North Dakota State).
The selection, marking the second national honor for Day in his career, comes following an impressive performance in UNI's season finale at South Dakota on Saturday, where the redshirt junior accounted for a career-best 6 touchdowns (5 passing and one rushing) in the Panthers' 58-14 win over the Coyotes.
