TULSA – UNI's Parker Keckeisen and Brody Teske advanced to Sunday's championship matches and six Panthers remain alive after the first two rounds of the Big 12 Championship Saturday at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
Teske opened the day with a 19-2 tech fall over Wyoming's Derrick Stacey before grabbing an 8-0 major decision against Oklahoma's Mason Naifeh. In the semifinal, he took down South Dakota State's Danny Vega 8-6 to advance to the final where he will face Utah Valley's Taylor LaMont, the No. 2 seed in the bracket.
Keckeisen grabbed a hard-fought 5-3 win in his first-round bout before his quarterfinal opponent was forced to forfeit because of injury.
