Southeast Polk junior Nate Jesuroga leads Iowa high school wrestlers at Super 32 Challenge

We didn’t need a reminder that Nate Jesuroga is one of the best wrestlers in the country, but he gave us one this weekend anyways.

Jesuroga, Southeast Polk’s wildly-talented junior lightweight, stormed to first place at the Super 32 Challenge in Greensboro, N.C. He went 8-0 to win the belt at 120 pounds, defeating California standout Aden Valencia, 3-2, in Sunday’s championship match.

In doing so, Jesuroga is now the third Iowa high-schooler to win a Super 32 title, joining Fort Dodge’s Drake Ayala, who won it last year, and Mason City’s Cullan Schriever, who won in 2017.
