SDSU Defeats UNI, 61-50

Box Score

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team succumbed to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Thursday night, despite a strong showing from the Panther bench. UNI fell 61-50 to SDSU with an overall record of 4-3.

The Panthers struggled to get going from the arc in the first half, shooting a combined 0-for-10 in the first and second quarters. UNI outscored the Jackrabbits 21-12 in bench points, but the height and length of SDSU made it too much for UNI to compete in the paint.

Madison Weekly and Kennedy Kirkpatrick both scored 10 points, with Kirkpatrick adding five rebounds.
