ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Senior defensive end Karter Schult has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year, it was announced today by league officials.
Schult is the ninth Panther to receive defensive player of the year honors and the 16th student-athlete to receive a player of the year selection since head coach Mark Farley took over in 2001. UNI has earned back-to-back defensive player of the year honors with Deiondre' Hall winning in 2015.
