CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - As a first-generation college student, UNI Athletics' Christina Roybal understands the importance of education and worked to make the same dream come true for Panthers.
Roybal, UNI Athletics' senior associate athletics director for sports administration, entered college with the plans for a medical degree. With only a recreational background in sports growing up, she accepted an on-campus job in athletics as an undergraduate student and quickly fell in love with the atmosphere of the industry.
She discovered the impact she could make on students' lives, and she changed her major her sophomore year to launch a career on the vision of helping students.
