Founder and Director of the Prime Time League Randy Larson announced today that the league has run its course and will not play this summer.
"When we started 32 years ago, college coaches couldn't even watch their players scrimmage; now they can actually coach them all summer, which is great for the players," Larson said.
The NCAA rule change allows college teams to have four hours of basketball-specific workouts. Summer is also a chance for student-athletes to pick up more classes and strength and conditioning workouts.
"We want to thank Randy for his vision and passion in making the Prime Time League everything it could be," said UNI head men's basketball coach Ben Jacobson.
