TERRE HAUTE – UNI women's basketball swept Indiana State in a 35-point win Saturday afternoon 88-53. Coming off a 26-point win on Friday evening, the Panthers have forced the Sycamores into their seventh straight loss this season.
The Sycamores were the first to find the hoop but that didn't stop the Panthers from a 20-10 scoring run to gain control early in the game. Nicole Kroeger scored seven points, one from behind the arc and two swift layups at 5:34 that helped UNI end the quarter 25-16.
Indiana State cut the Panther lead to six points, 29-22, with 6:29 left in the second quarter.
