TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Trevor Allen rushed for a career-high 180 yards and two touchdowns and the Panther defense notched its second consecutive shutout as the No. 21/23 UNI Panthers picked up the 33-0 win over Indiana State Thursday evening at Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute.
UNI established the run early but didn't find the end zone in the first half. Instead, Austin Errthum hit 3-4 field goals to give the Panthers a 9-0 lead at the break.
Early in the second half, Allen found the end zone with just under 12 minutes to play in the third on an 18-yard run that ended in an exclamation point when Allen powered through a defender to cross the goal line.
