- Taevion Kinsey returns to Marshall for his sophomore season. The Columbus, Ohio, native enters the season as the team's returning leading scorer after averaging 10.5 points per game last season.
- During the 2018-19 campaign, he scored 10 or more points in 20 of his 37 games and was a two-time Conference USA Freshman of the Week honoree.
